Simeon Ten Holt – Canto Ostinato (played by Kees Wieringa and Polo de Haas)

A mesmerizing piece usually performed on four grand pianos, composed by the Netherlands' most famous minimalist Simeon ten Holt.  I'm sorry to say he died last year.

John Frusciante – My Smile Is A Rifle

This one falls in the category 'soundtrack of my life". I played this album (Niandra Lades & Usually just a T shirt) so much that I dont need to put it on to hear it.

Eilander – In The Madhouse (Lounge Away)

I can't pass on the opportunity to promote one of the most talented songwriters of the Netherlands (who also happens to be my boyfriend). His record will be released this summer and although I realize I won't sound completely objective, it will be great!

Pharoah Sanders – The Creator Has A Masterplan

This song makes me want to drown in it.

Bilal – Fastlane

Over-the-top gangster shit, but good.

Donovan – Get Thy Bearings

Makes me feel nostalgic, but I'm not sure for what, actually.

Delicate Steve – Butterfly

Repetitive but beautiful. But why is this thing called Butterfly? Keeps me wondering..

Jorge Ben – Oba La Vem ela

I don't understand a word of it but it sounds like summer.

M-JO – A Girl And A Bike In Amsterdam.

A local Amsterdam band that's worth checking out. I always listen to this particular song when I am abroad.
"A girl (or a boy) and a bike in Amsterdam is all I need." I so agree.

Not a song but a podcast I often listen to. The episode on parasites is highly recommendable. Toxoplasma Gondii; I'm a fan!
